Potapota I/b is a hand punched wool painting made by Lina.
The Potapota series evolved from both the Potsupotsu and Nobita series, and focuses on the rounded, fluid forms of the humble droplet. Named after the gentle sound of dripping water—“potapota”—it transforms simple drop shapes into striking, tangible compositions.
Encasing each composition is an eye-catching, textured frame which — together with the soft fuzziness of the wool — adds an extra tactile dimension to each work. So please DO touch!
Punch needle is an embroidery technique using a small handheld wooden pen with a hollow needle that “punches” yarn through fabric. It is much slower and more detailed than the now popular tufting technique, which uses a powered tufting gun.
40 x 80 cm frame.
Made of 100% New Zealand wool on durable polyester cloth and a sustainably sourced European pine frame. Comes with a metal suspension clamp.
