The Nobita series is a study in expansion and expression. Gently stretched, elongated forms seem to pull and flow across the surface. These whimsical spots and stripes create a dynamic landscape bursting with colour and texture.
Encasing each composition is an eye-catching, textured frame which — together with the soft fuzziness of the wool — adds an extra tactile dimension to each work. So please DO touch!
Punch needle is an embroidery technique using a small handheld wooden pen with a hollow needle that “punches” yarn through fabric. It is much slower and more detailed than the now popular tufting technique, which uses a powered tufting gun.
