Description
Nobita I is a hand punched wool painting made by Lina.
The Nobita series is a study in expansion and expression. Gently stretched, elongated forms seem to pull and flow across the surface. These whimsical spots and flowing stripes create a dynamic landscape bursting with colour and texture. The result feels elastic and expressive — playful in spirit, yet deliberate in its movement.
With a nod to Japanese kawaii and pop culture, each piece balances sweetness with attitude. Rounded silhouettes and candy-like colours bring a sense of charm and character, creating a lively yet composed work of art.
Encasing each composition is a bright, eye-catching frame which — together with the gentle fuzziness of the wool — adds an extra tactile dimension to each work. So please DO touch!

Punch needle is an embroidery technique using a small handheld wooden pen with a hollow needle that “punches” yarn through fabric, one loop at a time. Therefore it is much slower and more detailed than the now popular tufting technique, which uses a powered tufting gun.
