Description
Chīta Sen is a hand punched wool painting made by Lina.
The Chīta series is an ode to pastels and animal prints — where softness meets bold instinct. Vibrant colours, organic shapes and abstract prints create a joyful rhythm that dances against an intense black backdrop. The contrast is electric: zesty yet refined, playful yet composed — an aesthetic statement that grabs your attention.
With a nod to Japanese kawaii and pop culture, each piece balances sweetness with attitude. Rounded silhouettes, candy-like hues and lively patterns bring a sense of charm and character to the quiet dark background.
Encasing each composition is a bright, eye-catching frame which — together with the gentle fuzziness of the wool — adds an extra tactile dimension to each work. So please DO touch!

Punch needle is an embroidery technique using a small handheld wooden pen with a hollow needle that “punches” yarn through fabric, one loop at a time. Therefore it is much slower and more detailed than the now popular tufting technique, which uses a powered tufting gun.
