Description
Yozora — a chunky jersey rug crocheted by Lina.
Yozora embodies the night sky it’s named after. Its near-black yarn evokes the quiet majesty of a moonless night, while fine golden details weave throughout the piece like distant constellations.
There’s something grounding about working with your hands on a large scale — loop by loop, creating a soft place to land, to pause, to be. It’s slow, physical work that asks me to sit with the rhythm and let time stretch out. It’s meditation in yarn form.
By repurposing unused fabric from the fashion industry, I rescue the discarded and give new life to textiles that would otherwise go to waste. This recycled yarn is chunky, sturdy, and just unpredictable enough to keep things interesting. Its limited availability and irregularities add personality to each piece: no two rugs are exactly the same.
These rugs aren’t just functional objects — they’re gentle landscapes, stitched together from scraps, patience, and probably a few cat hairs. They’re unapologetic. They take up space. They invite you to sit down, stretch, snack, nap, or just exist — no shoes required.
Also, have a look at Miki I Large for a slightly smaller, significantly bolder rug or Watagumo Medium for an even smaller daytime-sky-coloured rug.
